Orange Blossom, Orlando, FL
I attended the UCWDC country event, the Orange Blossom http://www.orangeblossomdance.com. The new event directors, Donna Bonham-Steinfeld and Shawn Swaithes, did an awesome job organizing and running the event this year. The Marriott Hotel was very nice and the swimming pool was awesome, with it view overlooking a natural waterway at the back of the hotel.
The hotel restaurant had great food and was exceptionally priced. Which is always a plus when you are trapped at the hotel and at their mercy for food.

The event itself ran on time and had a good turn out of competitors, as well as, Master level dancers. My only complaint would be about the dance floor on Friday afternoon. The floor was new and appeared to be a beautiful, but unfortunately the air conditioning was not turned on in the ballroom until shortly before the competition started. This caused the humidity in the room rise and make the new floor sticky and slow. It made it extremely difficult to dance with pro-ams at the competition. I guess that would explain some of the problems that my students had that evening. The floor did speed up as the weekend progressed. All in all, it was a very good event and a nice weekend in Sunny Florida!
